Ex-Karate champ returns

FORMER National, European and World champion in karate, Mr Frank Brennan, returned to Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre, Cleckheaton, last monday to present a further course for junior and senior members of the club.
Mr Mike Cowburn, the chief instructor at Cleckheaton Karate Club (Black Belt 4th Dan) said: "The club has benefitted a great deal from the training given by such a senior instructor and the standard within the club has improved considerably".
A beginners class in karate starts on Monday, May 16 for juniors 8-16 at 7.00pm and seniors of 16+ from 8.15pm.
Mr Cowburn added: "Anyone interested should come along to Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre. we are very keen to recruit new members".
